hay, long time no real journal entry.
It's holiday time for the next 3 weeks and I have been rewarded with great sickness for my exam efforts. I have some hardcore drugs and they're not working so I'm slightly at a loss as of what to do. Whoooo knows. Just deal with it and hope for the best I suppose..
Having a discussion with Ange in comments yesterday about birthdays, makes me want to cry. From last week, to the end of July:
July 1st: Sam's 21st
July 7th: Ben's 21st
tyrannizeJuly 15th: Alexia's 21st
July 21st: my 21st, suckas
July 22nd: Veronica, Mary, Megan and Zoe's 21st
And that's all I can think of for now. Cause I'm not 100% sure that it's where it ends. Cry. Please send money to the Elizabeth Needs To Buy Presents fund. Much appreciated, thx.
Speaking of which, apparently there will be an additional person attending my birthday party; Billy Celeski what. We had some text reconcilliation and apparently he shall be in attendance. He also had a hip operation 2 days ago so I wont hold my breath. Oh hay, it's his 21st on the 14th of July too. I feel as though it's now beyond a joke.
And no, I did not go to K's. I spent the night getting hella drunk at Sam's then watching England vs Paraguay at Riley's. Fun times.
Anyway, better late than never, I was tagged a slight while ago so may as well complete tagging duties now...
List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether
they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're
really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your livejournal along with your
seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.
Take the Lead (Lets Ride) - Bones Thugs-N-Harmony: Have you guys seen Take the Lead? That movie with Antonio Banderas in it? It's shit, don't watch it, but this song is waaay fun. Way fun. One day I am going to have to learn Spanish or something considering a large number of songs I listen to contain it.
The First Night - Monica: I don't even know what made me want to start listening to this song agian, but it freakin ROCKS. Old songs win forever.
Goody, Like Two Shoes - Matchbook Romance: Aw, stupid emo crap. But sometimes sometimes there is just music (not lyrics, music) which makes you feeeeeel something. And this song does that. Especially when it's all nice and slow and sings most of the song in this extremely legato way... then suddenly he's really clear and is like 'AND III WONT ASK FOR ANYTHING, NO IIIII WONT ASK FOR ANYTHING, EVER AGAIN >:o' holy crap, it makes me shiver just hearing it in my head.
Green and Gold - Freedom of Thought: I don't think I need to say much more :( What's up with Italy making the final. GHEY.
Sombrero - Son Veneno: Stupid myspace, I hate it. And I hate the fact it makes you find good bands that don't reside in Melbourne. Such as this one! I have a feeling we'd love them if they played down here, or something. Anyway, go check out their myspace for this song cause I'm a big fan.
Hump de Bump - Red Hot Chilli Peppers: This is why I shouldn't buy cd's... I buy them in good faith, and find like 3 songs I like on an entire double cd? What's up with that? Good news is, I reaaallly like this song so it half makes up for it but not really. Don't buy it, unless you want an album of every single song sounding the same.
Fall Out Boy - Snitches and Talkers get Stiches and Walkers: Holy shit, I think it's probably my favourite FOB song. Well... I lie, I couldn't choose a favourite. BUT DEFINITELY one of them. i feel like I can hear some Living End in them. So anyone who likes them but doesn't have this song, do yerself a favour and get it plz.
