yeah, youve probably heard i'm leaving for 3 weeks to go to costa rica. i'm putting the itinerary and map in here for u to see where i am and when and also for me to see.
this is the itinerary thing:
7-22: Flights
- From Detriot 9:00a - 11:54a
- From Miami 7:20p - 8:07p (11:07 ET)
- In San Jose: stay in hostel and prepare for backpacking
7-23 to 7-27: La Palma
- Go to Corcovado National Park
- -backpacking
- -stay in local research stations
- -learn backpacking skills
7-27: Puerto Jimenez (Osa Peninsula)
- to Cerro Alto Lodge
- -stay in mountain cabins
- -prepare for whitewater rafting
7-28 to 7-31: Pacuare River
- 2 days whitewater rafting, others playing in waterfalls, zipline over rivers, tree planting
8-1: Reventazon River
- rafting
- swimming
- to Santa Maria de Dota and stay w/ Costa Rican family
- prepare for next backpacking section
8-2 to 8-6: Savergre (4 nights 5 days)
- hiking Rejas trailhead
- spend nights in Costa Rican families or shelters
- learn camping techniques
8-6: (drive to) Jaco Lodge
- prepare for ocean kayaking in Nicoya Peninsula
8-7: (drive to) Puntarenas
- take ferry to Paquera
- learn kayaking skills
- camp at Curu Wildlife Reserve (Nicoya Peninsula)
8-8 to 8-10: Nicoya Peninsula (2 nights 3 days kayaking)
- camp on deserted beaches
8-11: (take ferry to) Paquera
(drive to) Puntarenas
(drive to) San Jose
- evening celebration at hostel
8-12: Flights
- from San Jose 7:15a - 9:02a (12:02 ET)
- from Miami 4:05p - 5:28p
- from Memphis 6:35p - 9:32p

I'd rather you not send me mail tho. I won't write back. I do get a chance to call people about 4 times throughout the trip. I dont know how likely it is tho that i'll get enough to call everyone i want to. i cant wait for this!
