iced coffee, blues, and math

is this not the phrase of the summer. i've finally found myself a niche -- physically, in dan's room, at this desk, at this computer, under this very large english flag (god bless their national team's weary souls), the expanse of medford and revere in the distance at my foottips when i sleep, and season three of the west wing not six inches from my typing hands. there are more things to say about this upstairs corner room (it is large, reasonably clean but littered with books), but i won't say them now. i'll say them now: fourth floor, three fans, two bureaus, and a sharp-edged incline around me (which is to say it's an attic loft-room, and to reach my bookshelf i must duck down lest i bump myself).

as many of you have noticed, i haven't written much in a while. for some reason, as much as i say i love to write, i don't do enough of it. so here i am. you may expect more from me; i may or may not meet those expectations.

math class has begun with algebra and matrices. i enjoy these subjects, and the class, so far. we'll see where i am by august tenth, the final exam. unfortunately, research has momentarily bumped up against a (loft) wall.

that's about it for now. message me or comment if you have any questions or, well, comments.
