Wow, haven't blogged in here for a LONG while...
Not that I haven't been on LJ -- I've been fangirling over at my old one on the weird communities I go to. As for blogging, I've been concentrating on the new xanga one I made a few months ago, so yeah.
This past year has been okay -- definitely the most drama-filled, hectic one, it being senior year and all. But I've put it all behind me, having graduated and all. Now, I'm off to college -- in the city, of all places (New York, that is, for those who didn't know). I'm excited to go to Hunter and meet new people. I'll definity keep in touch with old friends, of course -- my own best friend Patricia is going to school five blocks away! So I'm getting anxious about the two of us off in the big city.
As some of you may have noticed, a big thing that has evolved for me this year has been my love for the theatre, and my exposure of it. My former AP English teacher, Mr. Croonquist, who is now retired, has friends at the New York Theatre Workshop, where he had brought our entire english class to see two works performed: "The Seven" back in February, and "Columbinus" in May, and was the venue in which "Rent" was first performed before it went on Broadway. Anyway, Mr. C. had noticed my love and flair for the theatre and wanted to introduce me to his friends at NYTW, one of which happens to be Jim Nicola himself! For those who aren't RENTheads, he's the artistic director of the theatre, so he's a big time bigshot. I'm hoping this meeting will come to fruition sometime soon, because having been forced to take Nursing as my major at Hunter, I certainly could use a theatre environment to help keep me sane!
I hope for my first year of independence in the city (well, sort of -- I'm not dorming, so I'm still living with the parentals) will take me to some interesting places, and I hope that I'll break out of my shell a little and get spontaneous so I can meet a guy. Hehe.
Well, that's all for my update, I guess. if you guys want to read a little more of my fangirly weirdness, here's my xanga: www.xanga.com/lepetitecoquette
