Thanks-"Giving"

I guess it's good to set aside a day in the typical busy life of an American to recognize what you're thankful for. Unfortunately, due to my workload, I actually am not exactly taking a holiday today. I have 4 classes to study for, and one rat to still train.

It's all very time-encompassing to the point that the only purpose of this day is to not have classes to dedicate to said studying to make up for the entire waste of a day I had yesterday.

I had my jury duty yesterday. And because the judge is slow at speaking and filtering his candidates and questioning, it took an hour and a half to do 1/3rd of the prospective jury. Which means I have to go back Monday to finish the filtering. I can not say I'm impressed at all by the judicial system. That subject deserves a rant of its own, but it does make me think of one thing that I'm very thankful for.

Time.

Now, in jury duty, time is being heavily wasted. But I decided that it's time to use every moment I can, and make it useful. Maybe I'll finally be motivated to do what I need to do. Maybe I won't be. I can't promise myself anything anymore, because then I'll just let myself down. I have a tendency to make too high of goals.

But one rat maze... needs to be built. I meant to borrow somebody's, but time is running short. I don't have the patience for this anymore.

Peace.
