I got punked by Brad who gave me a "P". So, without superfluous ado, I give you my list of P-songs. And as an added treat, I've uploaded them to whomever wants to take advantage and add them to their respective music libraries. My Valentine's Day just-for-the-heck-of-it gift to you all. :)
1. Pure Morning :: Placebo - Ever since I met Josh, I've become such a Placebo fan, and this is one of my favorite songs of theirs. The funny thing is that I didn't realize that I liked them because I had heard this song years ago.
2. Perfect Situation :: Weezer - I love the nerdy yearning in Rivers Cuomo's voice (and I love the fact that I can totally karaoke them and sound just like them). If you just replaced all the feminine pronouns with masculine ones, it would be the story of my life.
3. Pray Your Gods :: Toad the Wet Sprocket - There's a lot of excellent songs on their album that just didn't get the play that they so deserved. This guy has an amazing voice.
4. Pride (In the Name of Love) :: U2 - My all-time favorite U2 song. There's just something I really dig about the way Bono conveys so much with his voice.
5. Popular :: Kristen Chenoweth (Original Broadway Cast, Wicked) - Cuz I'm a homosexual, after all.
6. Powerless (Say What You Want) :: Nelly Furtado - It's a very inspirational and intelligent song, before Miss Furtado got an R&B makeover.
7. Parade :: Garbage/Disposal Unit - There are actually two versions to this song. I thoroughly enjoy both of them. There's a great message to them. Garbage's is very rocking and energetic, whereas Disposal Unit's is more relaxing.
