[The video turns on, and shows Sissel leaning on a wall. This time, he looks rather pensive, as if he's been thinking about something for a while. His Wailmer is nearby him, and it seemed to have grown the last time he showed it to people- it's about as big as a ship anchor, now.]
You know, there's something I have to tell you guys. It's more of a

How the hell did you forget how to do something so simple? [Curious baby is curious]
Reply
I lost all my memories when I died, and I also forgot a lot of concepts as well. Reading was just one of the things I forgot how to do.

...You're dead? [Curious baby does not believe in the least.] You're not dead anymore, stupid, so that's a horrible excuse.

Well, I was dead before I got here, and I still haven't gotten back my memories yet, so I'm still unable to read.

[Romano is unimpressed.] Then you should get your stupid memories, quit complaining about being a dead guy, and start trying to read. It's easy, dumb ass.
[...It's a roundabout and abrasive offer to help.]

Well, that's easier said than done. Memories aren't exactly the easist to get back. And I'm not complaining about being a dead guy am I?

Get someone to read things for you and follow along. See? Easy. Just do that for a long time and actually pay attention and then you'll read. [...Now he is curious again.] How'd you lose your memories in the first place? If I died, I wouldn't forget. Maybe your old memories weren't important.
[He looks a little sheepish for just a moment before settling for a pout.] You were complaining about something earlier. [But he wasn't paying attention.]

That actually does sound like a good plan. Actually, I've been doing that, but it's not like I can suddenly read after a few weeks of just following along.
When people die, they lose their memories despite whether they want to or not. They get them back sometimes if something reminds them about who they were, but no one I interacted with knew me at all. So I still couldn't remember a thing.
Oh, I was talking about a guy who I know from my world. He's dangerous and I was warning people about him.

[He hadn't learned that. Romano listens carefully and tries to compare it to what he knows.] But... if you're -- were dead, then shouldn't you be in purgatory? ...I don't know anyone who's died before, damn it, but I guess it would make sense to forget. All the people you knew must be dead too.
Oh. ...If you can't read then I guess he can't either, which shouldn't make him too dangerous.

Well, there wasn't any purgatory as far as I know. Just a Ghost World, of sort. And while I did know people who were dead, I was able to talk to people who were alive as well. But only if I had averted their fates.
No, I'm pretty sure he can read. He's not exactly like me.
