Thailand trip

I'm finally inspired to write about my trip after a million years later..

We (me and my sis) left our house on Sunday around 4:25 in the morning. Apparently we were the first ones to arrive at the airport because Gary didn't even get there yet. We were a little nervous about missing him because he had our tickets to Bangkok and all we had was an e-ticket for a one way trip to LAX. Luckily, I was able to find Gary and get our tickets. For being an early flight, it wasn't that bad I guess. Our group got split up into two parties, about 6 people went on our flight and the rest came on a later flight.

The horrible thing was that since we arrived early at LAX (8 ish in the morn), it didn't do us much good because our plane was delayed until 3:50 in the afternoon. That was like 8 hours of absolut boredom! Some guys from our group were lucky enough to rent a car and go down to Santa Barbara. Me and Nic just found a table somewhere and died there (literally) until we finally were able to check in and go to the gate. Finally, the time came for us to board the plane (thank the heavens), although my stomach felt like monday morning in tartarus. To some degree I am kinda glad it happened cause it would've sucked if I died on the plane (not literally).

It was kind of wierd going to Thailand because I wasn't familiar with anyone in our group (mostly made of graduated Business MBAs) and I was sure that once we got there, no one would even bother to talk to me. But luckily, that wasn't the case at all as I later found out. Anywho, we boarded Thai Airways and I was greeted with the traditional Sawasdee Ka (hello in Thai) and the slight bow with the hands clasped together.

By the time me and Nic found our seats, (Nic got the window of course), I was so relieved to be actually getting somewhere (mostly due to the delay). I couldn't wait to sit back and relax.

Okay....I'm cutting off here so that I can write more tomorrow. Otherwise this will be one long entry.
