Cars

My car is falling apart. Several bolts ranging from the kind that hold on my ac unit, to the kind that hold on the front air dam have come up missing in the last week. At least the guy at the VW dealership was nice enough to kick down a few replacements with some threadlocker a week or two ago. Now I find out today that the thing needs a front end alignment. There is some postive camber in the front driver's side wheel that needs to be knocked out. The tire on there is only a few months old and it has a lot of wear and tear on the left outer edge, while the inside looks brand new. I pumped some much needed air into it a few weeks ago, but its still deteriorating.

I want to get a new car. I haven't given up on my car yet, but something more reliable would be nice. I always have to wonder if I am going to make it to where I am going when I leave the house. Another thing that bothers me is playing "Guess that sound and lose some freetime!" every night. Don't get me wrong, I like working on the thing, but not every weekend. It's like its a 20 year old tercel held together by duct tape and lot's of crank filled overtime.

I'm sure the next car that I get will be a used one as well, but it'll be worth working on all the time if i'm taking it out on my days off to drift around the countryside. I found an 2nd gen 86' RX-7 for $1,100 already. There is one that is more and seems to be a better car, but I think if I got one for that price I could fix it up and sell it for more. Then i'd have more money to put to a car. I don't think that model comes with an lsd anyways.

I really want to get a new car before drifting catches on with all the ricers here and the prices skyrocket for old FR Nissans and Toyotas.

Man, I might have to break down and work two jobs (like i've been trying to do). It'll be worth it.
