Did you have meals on time or sometimes you starve yourself too long? Try to avoid cold water. Try avoid eating hard-to-digest food when your stomach is empty, i.e. nuts, meat, cheese/dairy.
Lots of girls with cramps told me that doing sit-ups everyday helps.
