Surgery, and so on and so forth...

The surgery went well as far as I've been told. I had a horribly sore throat following the surgery, and I hadn't a clue why. I ended up talking to my grandma and DUH, they probably had a breathing tube down my throat during surgery. I wouldn't remember any of that though, because the last thing I remember before the anesthesia kicked in was scooting over onto the operating table and saying that my right hand (where the IV was) really hurt. I woke up in the post-op room feeling groggy but painless because I was all drugged up. My guard showed up late to pick me up after surgery. I was a little ticked. But at least he stayed with me basically all weekend.

For his birthday we went to Balboa Park in San Diego. I thought it was a good gift, but apparently he wasn't all that thrilled about it. I think he enjoyed it but he didn't seem overjoyed about it. So I felt bad, but there's not really anything I can do about it now. I don't really know him well enough to think of a good material gift that he'd like anyway. He's obviously more of a material person than I thought, given that he was more excited about the money that his family gave him. Granted we're both quite poor right now so I understand money being a big thing, but on that same note you'd think he'd appreciate my gift given that it was thoughtful and fairly inexpensive.

Sunday wore me out and made me feel like crap, so I took Monday off. The irony of it is that I actually woke up Monday at my normal work time feeling like I had gotten plenty of sleep, and then this morning when I'm actually going to work I woke up groggy and with a horrible headache on the left side of my head. It still hasn't gone away and it makes work go so much slower.

Speaking of work, I have a seasonal job at best buy in loss prevention, as long as I pass the pee test and the background check. I don't see any reason I wouldn't pass the test (unless legal pain killers from my surgery would affect it in any way), and I don't have anything bad that shows up in a background check either as far as I know. It'll be a good job to hold me over until christmas, and then after that I can start looking for a full time job replacement.

Also speaking of jobs...I may be jumping on a law suit bandwagon. There are some people in california that are suing Fastenal for unpaid overtime, and I totally fit into that category. I'm going to look up the lawyer dude online tonight and see what I need to do. Money would be freaking awesome right about now, and lord knows it was totally deserved from them.

That is all. Oh, and apparently I like Fresca now. Weird.

job stuff, voldemort, the cancer word, randomness, fuck fastenal up the ass, surgery
