And overly detailed account of my weekend.

So, Halloween. It's been pretty awesome. I actually ended up being really proud of my costume because even though I know all the stuff I should have done but didn't bother with, everyone else said it looked good/cute/store bought. So yay for not being completely terrible with a sewing machine.
Friday night my house had a party and then we all went down to 6th street to check out the crazies. There were seriously some crazies down there... unfortunately several of them were from my house. And they take their craziness very very seriously. Luckily I, no joke, love them; they are all fantastic people.

But then...
Yesterday a couple of my friends from Flower Mound came down to Austin for Halloween (even though they were an entire day late and thus had more or less missed it). Flakiness isn't annoying because it wastes time, it's annoying because it makes you feel massively insignificant even if it's not intentional or even true. They are, of course in true Flower Mound fashion, crazy people. So last night was sort of an ordeal. We went to a really cute house party type thing with Yamina (yay Yamina) where one of my friends proceeded to get positively trashed and the other only moderately so... I can't be sure of the specifics because at about 3 am I gave up on getting either of them to be reasonable about anything and left them (yes, this does make me a terrible person and an even worse friend... but I guess I just am I have no defense). The positively trashed one lost her phone somewhere and they both had to sleep in their car because when they finally got back here I was asleep. I now feel terrible and apparently the two of them aren't speaking to each other? I get the impression this happens frequently.

So now...
I have a lost phone and two people who shouldn't be speaking to me but are (presumably out of necessity?). And a big scary paper due tomorrow.

Surprisingly I've had a lovely weekend despite that story, which just happened to be the most interesting part.
But if anybody knows how to apologize to someone without letting them know they should be angry at you, let me know. I think I'm gonna need it later.

boo! (it's halloween)
