when we have bad hurricanes we lose power
and have to rebuild hwy 98 on the island.
i know there people who lost homes here.
but we've had enough practice to know what to do.
and most people have enough money to evacuate.
no one should have to watch a loved one drown
because they could not afford to leave
and the roof of the house they are sitting on
is falling apart into the water.
i don't know why i am so upset about this.
i pretty much wish the hurricane had just hit here.
