finally!!
Tomorrow... American President Barack Obama is to sign the repeal that will allow openly gay and lesbian americans to serve in the american military. Its been 13 years but HELL YEAH!!
My parents dont understand why im so excited and why all the votes and stuff wound me up so much, as im not american and it doesnt affect me as i can openly serve. But thats not the bloody point! The point and why it pissed me off so much was because America claims to be alot of things that it aint. And a EQUAL country is not one of them!! But now that the law will FINALLY be lifted against LGBT millitary men and women... it getting a little better.
The fact that its only been lawful here for the last 10 years was a shocker to me. But then against it stil wasnt that long ago that we were considered psychologically ill and things. Its progress i agree but it sure as hell is taking a long time!!
