Stayed up late last night to finish The Kite Runner. What a stunning, absolutely astounding novel! The book was a Birthday present from Alice, which is always a guarantee that it'll turn out to be amazing, but even knowing that I was blown away. Because I live in a third world country. I could not find a place that sold the books here, so I had my sister buy me a copy in Poland.

I just finished it. Guh. GUHHHH

Well, you could get it here on Tuesday, but I wanted to get my hands on it as early as possible. And I could not risk it selling out in here - we do have American, British, Canadian, Australian, etc embassies :)

I would had my sister not been returning to Ukraine that weekend :D I was really lucky. The thing that annoys me more is that none of our numerous cinemas show OofP in English. I want to watch it in original, I want to hear the real voices because translation, especially of spells and names, is terrible.

we never get films with subtitles. well I lie, but those are only for pretentious french film festivals.
