Yeah, it wasn't the smartest piece NPR ever did. But I liked some of the quotes they chose -- it's easy to pick the flip, "If the apocalypse comes, beep me!" quotes, but they pulled some serious stuff, too. And anytime someone intelligent and respectable says, "Hey world, Buffy is more than just a goofy show about vampires!" it makes me happy.

I think they did a pretty good job of explaining to non-fans what the show is about, actually. Woe to those listeners who weren't fans and want to see it without being spoiled, yes... but the show ended five years ago. There has to be a statute of limitations on spoilers, doesn't there?
