This so beautiful Kels, and so agonizingly painful. (I'm still trying to work out how I didn't notice this in my flist when you posted it. Aargh)

It's heartbreaking that the mistakes she made in her youth seem to always be lutking in the darks of the shadows.

They've never been a perfect couple, but after four years of marriage they've learned to co-exist . This line is so them. They're never going to be the couple that everybody wants them to be, but they can be themselves and they can love each other for who the other is. Faults and all. He can love her despite everything. Despite her mistakes and her bad choices and who she used to be

I know you've never read the books, but one of the big rumors in the first book or two is that she came back from boarding school because she had been pregnant, and this...fits...with her character.
