My hard drive started making pathetic bleeping noises at me (groaning under the weight of all the files I refused to delete) and so I finally installed my DVD writer internal drive. Which made it possible to not only back up my AVI files, but for me to learn how to convert them to ISO files.
So I've spent the last month converting. I've found that it's a heck of a lot easier to get people to watch a show if all they have to do is pop a DVD into the player too. But what made the point even more was
Nodame Cantabile is a series with a terrific group of actors and a great and funny story but I hated watching it on my laptop. The music is fundamentally important to this series and I could not get decent sound from my laptop on a bet. I switched to powered headphones and my desktop which was doable. But the difference in actually watching this one on the television with decent speakers was remarkable.
Of course, I think everyone should watch this. It's wonderful and any interest you have in classical music makes it even better.
.
And my hard drive is now much happier with me.
