Last-ditch
You used to say I was- “My damsel in distress.”
You said you never knew why, “I'm no damsel and I certainly am not in any distress Min,” it's not all lies, maybe just a portion.
“I see you haven't changed the slightest,” never did, you left me at twelve; hanging.
“C'mon, don't be like that Jae,” don't be like what? Silence is just pretty blissful right now.
“You see this,” my dark gray t-shirt, “I haven't let go of you, nor will I ever,” I can't see that; i honestly can't.
It's no use trying to hold my gaze for more than a fraction of a second, “Look at me.” I won't. your eyes weaken my resolve.
Your hands. My shoulder. We used to be in a more intimate embrace. “C'mon, smile,” you've got a smile that takes me to another planet.
It's no use scrutinizing my face. I won't let out a thing. “It doesn't make sense you know,” nothing made sense until the time I saw your face.
“I mean what happened, between us,” did you feel it? ”It was absurd,” no shit “I mean, you were my damsel in distress- and yes I know you have always been capable of holding out for yourself but,” but? “I have always been your prince.”
You took my hand. It's warm but- “Doesn't matter now.” I didn't meant it.
Your grip hurts “What do you mean it doesn't matter now Jae?” I mean, can you really feel this magic in the air?
“I fell in love when I saw you standing there on that old railway where it reeks of something dead,” every move you make, “I asked you where you were going and you said to find yourself, ” everything you say “And I wanted to do that. To find the you that I love just for you,” is right “I still do.” I know. I know.
It must have been the way-
“You kissed me.” no shit he did.
“I can't put this down, Jae.” I don't want you to.
