SEPTEMBER 2nd CANCELLED! aint' no sunshine up in here

Let it be known that BTA has been "screwed over" as it were by The Basement and the CD release show on September 2nd has been cancelled. Even though we gave them 2 months notice about setting up the show, and for a month and 3 weeks were told that everything was either coming together or good to go. Then, after a couple weeks of hearing nothing and not being able to get in touch with anyone we finally got thru to someone at the Basement and were told that they couldnt do the show. We searched frantically to get another venue that could handle it on such short notice but to no avail. All I know to say to everyone who was looking forward to being there is that those of us in the band are as upset and bummed out as you are. Please show your support by going to the stores and picking up a copy of the new record. And show your disgust for The Basement by never attending a show there again. and if you work for the venue and you are reading this here's the deal: if its just a simple misunderstanding and this is an over reaction on my part, it would have been great for us to have been given any explanation and some kind of advanced notice about all this mess. we ordered $3500 worth of cd's and that are now going to sit in my living room instead of spinning in people's cd players.
