“No.” Reeve smoothly lied. Disturbing how that was becoming easier to do and even more disturbing how little it perturbed him. “You think this news isn’t being bandied around the Executive?” he added, with a smile. Veld responded by peering up at him for a measured time. His look betrayed something almost like… pride.
