so:
my boss was unable to get the schedule for this week finished by saturday night. he called me yesterday (sunday) and gave me my hours. free days on monday and wednesday, 7 houurs each on tuesday and friday, until 5 on thursday, and a full day on saturday.
now explain to me why i got a phone call from my assistant manager telling me i was supposed to be in from 9-5 today? he calls me at 9:30, asking if i'm on my way to work, to which i reply with a confused no, seeings as i was told i had a day off. there was no second phone call from my boss, and no call from another employee switching days with me. the situation ended up being slightly rectified, with conrad calling me back and telling me i was on for giving breaks at 11:30.
here's the thing that irks me. dave gave me a "rough idea" of my schedule saturday night, then called me on sunday with the actual schedule, and then decided to change it and give me hours that i didn't ask for. i even told him saturday that i'm gonna be embroiled in finals week this week, and that monday and wednesday off would've been great, seeing as i'd be able to really fine-tune my shit before i turned it in. as it is i have 2 or 3 hours to work on and turn in my website and my brochure, rather than the 5 or 6 hours i expected to have.
