Next up: A very silly movie preview script I wrote in 2002, at 12.
Hita! Productions presents, X! Fall 2002.
Scene 1
Brittni: (High pitched scream) It’s him! It’s him!
Kids: What’s the matter, Mummy?
Mom: (Breathing heavily) Nothing… nothing… go back to bed.
Daughter1: I don’t believe you! I heard that scream!
Mom: Anne, do not argue! Go back to bed!
(Fade out)
Scene 2
(At lunch)
Daughter2: Mummy, what was that scream this morning?
Mom: I said nothing… I do not want to discuss it. Finish your lunch so we can start lessons.
(They all sigh)
Scene 3
(At the table, doing lessons)
Mom: Emma, read the next paragraph.
Emma: …And so they were beheaded for Christ.
(Anne starts to giggle, Emma starting to as well)
Mom: What is so funny? Tell me, what is so funny?
Anne: Mummy, those people were stupid!
Mom: (looks to Emma) Emma, You think so too?
(Emma nods hesitantly)
Mom: So, you would deny Christ?
Anne: Well… I would say I didn’t believe but inside I did.
(The mom stands up)
Mom: You will be seperated!
(They groan. Mom grabs Anne’s hand and takes her to the music room)
Mom: Learn all of the lesson by heart!
(She walks out)
(Soft crying noises are heard)
(Mom hears them and runs over to Emma)
Mom: Emma! Why are you…
Emma: Why am I what, Mummy?
Mom: Were you crying?
(She shakes her head)
(Mom runs over to Anne)
Mom: Anne! Why are you…
Anne: Mummy… I’m not done with my lesson yet!
Mom: Anne, were you crying?
Anne: No…
Mom: There is no need to be ashamed.
Anne: I wasn’t! I would have told you.
Mom: Who was it then?
Anne: Victor.
Mom: Victor? Stop lying!
Anne: It was! It was Victor!
Mom: There is no Victor! Stop lying!
Anne: Fine then. Don’t believe me. But Victor is real… and I think he’s a ghost.
Narrator: Scary enough? October 2002. Be ready.
