...well... I feel a need to stick up for the christian faith here... A) Child molestations are a stereotype... think about it... only 5-ish priests have been charged with this. Are there only 5 Catholic Churches? I think not.
And well... I have to say, that I have read the DIARIES of Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and other founding fathers... THEY WERE FUCKING CHRISTIAN! Unless you know, when Jefferson said "Forgive me lord Jesus for I have sinned", he meant it sarcastically... but... no. There were far too many references to God, Jesus, Holy Ghost in their diaries and journals. You would have to be nuts to believe otherwise.
I just love comments that force me to research my claims. Mostly because they have been proved right. Catholic child molestations are indeed a stereotype, but stereotypes can be based on true premises. According to research made by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, "the total number of Catholic priests and deacons in the United States who have been accused of sexual abuse of children is 4,392." Sure, not all of these cases went very far, and some of the children may have been jumping on the bandwagon ("you got molested? LUCKY"), but, if you will pardon the expression, HOLY SHIT that's a lot. At least a lot more than 5-ish
