Don't let me down
Hahaha, so I totally forgot to listen to that show...I hope it went well!
For some odd reason, that the great god of Fuck is probably responsible for, I made second chair bass for the All-State orchestra! FINALLY, NO VIOLIN!!! So that makes my month. I played this improv Charles Mingus bass solo on my tape, which they DON'T want you to do, but apparantly they were desparate. What REALLY freaks me out is that Janie Cowan (a bass player who could kick my ass any day of the week, and also plays much better bass than me) didn't make it. Which is fucked up. She's probably the one of the top three best bassists in Alaska, if not the top. There was a lot of tapes disqualified this year, which is eerily suspicious. Oh well. We'll see where this goes.
But in the meantime, congradulations to Katie Dilbeck (flute), Micah Fry (choir), Mary Krauszer (perc. alt), Sammy (trombone alt), Lauren Bachman (viola), Rachel Kenley (choir), Sarah Hendricks (chior), James Vierra (choir), Dylan (bass tromb), Paul Eckman (choir), Liza Krauszer (tuba), my Squarebanks buddy Sam (perc.), and to anybody else I forgot for making All-State!
