"Close the door," he whispers to her as the blips on the life signs detector inch closer to their position.
"Close the door," he shouts, the jumper soaring towards the sky while those on the ground aim their weapons at the small ship. She used to know these people and they did not act this way. She wonders when that changed, if she's been away that long.
"Close the door," he mumbles, trailing kisses down her neck and along her collar bone as they stumble into his room, intertwined.
He stands in her doorway, his mouth open to speak, to explain, and she closes the door.
