At it again as the summer takes shape

So many of you might know that I have an extremely important goal for this coming summer: Don't Work. My justification is that i have been told that my 1L experience will mean shutting myself in a closet for roughly 9 months, and since Im not doing the "healthy" thing where you take time off between undergrad and grad school... well... so here's whats up so far.

Last night, Alex and I bought tickets to Quito, Ecuador. Ecuador seems an amazing country for its combination of jungle, mountains and beach. Between June 6th and the 27th, we plan on giving each landscape about a week. About this we are stupid kinds of excited.

Assuming all goes to plan, there is also the road-trip to the Deigo homeland just before that. That means 90% of June will be spent where the language to know is spanish. shoot. here I was thinking I was so cool with the german. Gots to take me a crash course in espanol.

For 2 weeks at the end of July I'm probably working for my parents, playing house and office sitter. My mother has tried to characterize this to me as "you'll be king of the castle!". I first pointed out to her that it would be "queen" as I'm still female identified, whatever she might think of the lesbianism, and second of all, given that none of my friends are planning time in CT, it would more closely resemble a Rapunzel like situation.

Somewhere in between these things and starting school again August 28th, I was thinking of doing a little couch hopping and possibly going to California to see the family there. And I guess catching up on reading those books Ive been meaning to get to...

:-D
