[After receiving her Christmas presents from Adell, despite protests and attempts to reason with him because she already got gifts on her birthday two days ago, Luka finds herself alone at home while her roommate goes to give out more presents. It's Christmas day, the first Christmas to spend away from home and she's missing her mother and house more than ever. She misses the school and the festival they always organize the few days before the winter holidays kick in, even if she never participated actively it was nice to watch the performances and the chorus sing carols.
There's nothing like that on Luceti, or at least she hasn't seen anything like that. Sure there are parties but... Those are parties, it's different and definitively not something to which she can go. But staying home the whole day feels odd, even for her, even if she keeps studying.
That's why she ends going out, but wandering around alone with nothing to do isn't good either, it makes her terrified as everyone else is doing things: having fun with friends or giving out the gifts they prepared for the people they care about. She needs something to do, something that won't make people look at her as if she's a weirdo. Her solution? Sing Christmas carols all around the village, hugging her kitty plushie Whiskers against her as she wanders, stopping in front of the homes that she can see have people inside to sing some songs and stopping at the square and in front of basically anywhere where she can see people there.
