The Rebel Alliance and Revolutionary Communist Youth Brigade (please don't let the communism part dissuade you - this is purely a pro-rights protest... I'm not in RCYB and don't ever plan to be) are organizing a protest against Focus on the Family's "Love Won Out" conference, an anti-gay event.

On behalf of everyone who's NOT insane, let me be the first to say, bullshit. Homosexuality is "preventable and treatable," just like a... cold sore...? I mean, what the fuck?
Then the "Doctor" who runs this site has the idiocy to say that gays have all sorts of rights and that CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIANS are the ones who are suffering!
"Conservative Christians, by contrast, are stranded pretty much on their own. Given this undergirding, I hope you can see that our opposition to the gay and lesbian tidal wave is not an expression of hate but one of social justice and common sense." (Why can't Focus be more inclusive of gay people?)

Love Won Out is happening in Seattle - more specifically at Northshore Baptist Church at 10301 NE 145th St in Bothell - on June 25 (during Gay Pride). Please, if you can, come support our efforts to tell these assholes that they're not welcome.
