Do you have any reputations?

This was a question in one of those lame surveys I often get sucked into. Do you have any reputations? It even helpfully provided examples. Slut and player are the ones I remember.

I'm pretty sure I have a few. I could be wrong, but it seems safe to say that a contingent of people would tell you I'm kind of a bitch. A lot of people would tell you I'm smart. I'm supposedly dorky. I have a humorously exaggerated rep as a prostitute. I'm dorky and funny and melodramatic.

I don't even really know what this post is about. I just read that question and felt compelled to make some commentary on it. I find those surveys amusing because they can actually be revealing. Even when you're just making up stupid shit to say in them, there's always an answer or two that's a little telling. It speaks to something very superficial about people in general (one could perhaps say my generation specifically) that one of these surveys, designed to be revealing, wants you to relate not personal information, but the opinions of others. That sentence seemed awfully comma-y.

In 20 years, if I were to see all these stupid things I've posted on the internet, would I really want to remember what I thought other people thought of me? I don't even like to think about what I think other people think about me right now. It seems a traumatic question, in the long run.

I'm babbledy today. I think that it's important to remember, though, (and not just because it's in "Sugarhigh") that sometimes reputations outlive their applications. I feel like reevaluating all my little judgments of people just in case they've changed. Or maybe not. I don't know.

Incoherence! Randomness!
