i have come to realize that kids do not pick up everything on their own! when they are babies, everyone tells you,"don't worry, they'll get the hang of it" with EVERYTHING!! rolling over, crawling, walking, talking...they'll pick it up. this, howeverr, does not hold true with potty training!!!! they by no means just "pick up" on potty training!! at no point does any kid just look up at their parents and say "HEY I GOTTA POOP!" out of thin air...they need to be TRAINED on how to know when they have to go to the bathroom and how not to do it in their pants after that being all they know for soooo long. potty training alexis has probably been the most challenging task i have faced so far. it is so crazy how one day i think she is finally picking it up, then the very next day its as if the potty is a foreign object and she has never seen it before. last night she went to sleep with a dry pull up, and she woke up this morning with it STILL dry. she is still in the same pull up because she has gone pee pee on the potty ever since she woke up!!! i am soooo proud of her. speaking of...she has to go now! lattterrr
