why I'd jump through flaming hoops for you, or even just hoola

hello and welcome dedicated readers,

I now have a job. Rejoice! I officially begin employment on Tuesday! Working at a residential center for people living with physical disabilities-- I am the new Volunteer and Activity Coordinator. Full time and I will make a real salary! I'll actually be getting enough income to not only cover all expenses/bills... but some extra! For purposes of paying off credit card debt, student loans, and maybe someday even saving up for the "future"! And now I can buy fun stuff again without heavy guilt. Heh. But I am excited about this job in particular... it seems a very good fit. It will engage the mind and spirit, my creativity will be valued, and it's a social job at that! And I love people. :) :) Plus it is actually somewhat noble in that I'll be impacting the lives of others and attempting to even out the class spectrum (as this is also a low-income housing project sponsored by the state of Illinois for those qualifying under Medicaid). There are many dimensions to this job that entice me.

Tonight Mark and I are having a party! It should be fun for all. I've been celebrating going on three nights in a row now-- went to art galleries in Pilsen last night + Irish bar in west loop w/friend visiting from LA. Thursday Mark and I had some white wine, so fine. Also yesterday was a day-long explosion of sensory input and pleasure as Mark and I were active multiple times throughout the morning and afternoon. ;P

So enjoy it all, everybody!!! Enjoy the splendor.
