D: My internet went down before I could post! You can imagine how salsjdflasjeo that made me. xD This was written like four hours ago.

Okay, to start. (I suspect there will be a lot of mistakes! Forgive me for them because I didn't think this out. I just started typing... and whoooosh~! It's disjointed. I hope I addressed everything too.)

Junior fans supposedly didn't pay enough respect to the sempais even though the sempais deserve it because they've been around so much longer. Yes, because this is an organization of sorts. Johnnys is. It's not a RL free-for-all where you should respect everyone you meet on the street who is older. That would be ridiculous. In Johnny's however, debuted groups are "respected" because they've made it. They have (hopefully) solidified permanent careers. After debut, it's time to branch out and take on some solo projects. Host things, act as the lead in dramas, etc. That's what juniors are aiming for. (So it's not a matter of age. It's a matter of experience that I'm talking about. Like I said, they've been through a lot.) Sempais supposedly help out juniors. The sempais themselves have gained enough popularity for concerts and other things, and the juniors come backdance for them, or sometimes even get to sing a few lines. This lets them have some exposure and gives them names. Fans eventually recognize their faces. With magazines, groups with big names sell the mags for the most part (a smaller percent like you buy mags for the juniors :]). That's why the "popular groups" get the first pages and the juniors get nosebleed sections. But again, someone flipping through a mag might notice the other groups. Someone might catch their eye and it sparks interest. Shounen Club. The main acts for a while were You&J groups and junior groups had less time, right? Well, many watch Shounen Club only for the You&J groups, but can't help noticing the juniors. I know a lot of fangirls who have been convinced to fangirl different, younger groups through Shounen Club. This is the system JE uses to promote their younger acts. I think it's brilliant. And thus, the sempais who "give" the juniors opportunities for experience and exposure should be respected for getting where they are and for providing the juniors a stepping stone for their own success.

This actually goes for KAT-TUN fans from the past so much more than Junior fans today anyway. (Did you misunderstand me when I said sempais? I meant sempais such as SMAP and TOKIO, V6, etc. I don't consider KAT-TUN-tachi that much of sempais yet.) Because in the past, KAT-TUN fans have been known to be really disrespectful of sempai groups and it was pretty dumb. So, I was prepping the argument with a "been there, done that" kind of thing. (Though I've thankfully never done it, this is what some sempai fans know KAT-TUN fans as and it gives the general fandom a bad name. :/) But for the most part, I find junior fans rather agreeable and they give respect where it's due. I rather like junior fans. And I am one myself! I participate in a junior RP, so I really wouldn't spend so much time on something I dislike, right? So I came to my conclusion- respect the semapis- with influence (or I'd like to think "understanding") from both sides.

I also say they deserve respect from being around longer because that's how it works in Japan? Wow, that looks like a logical fallacy ready to burst, but as our fandom is "Japanese," it is my personal opinion that we should treat things accordingly. It's... a mindset that I've learned to take on because people, fans, take this pretty seriously. Juniors in JE are expected to respect the sempai groups. That's just how it is, from what I've seen and learned. That's the system JE seems to use, and that's the system I've always abided by when it comes to fandom. Likewise, fans should respect those same sempais that got their favorite JE boy or boys where they are. (I can elaborate more on this if you think it's stupid or something. It kinda goes back to the things in the first paragraph. I have more justifications. So just let me know. 8D)

Random: I don't know where to stick this in. especially if it's a sempai, and especially if it's Jin
I meant sempai in general. The Jin thing was a personal add-in only because I like him. Has nothing to do with anything else. xD For a different fan, it would be a different JE boy, or boys. That comment was not to be taken as part of the argument! I even said that it was a personal issue and it wasn't what I was complaining about. xD (You make me sound like a horrible, annoying fan. D: Context, context!)

Now... I don't like that you tweaked my words. Or perhaps they were misconstrued? "I hate Kat-tun", Kat-tun fans will then hate Ya-Ya-yah just to pay you back. That is definitely not what I was saying. Say someone you didn't know- someone you had just met- said they hated your best, best friend. Wouldn't you be inclined to start off with bad feelings towards them? You'd be inclined to have a preconceived negative opinion of them before ever getting to properly know them. This is being human. Or at least that's how I feel. Thus, it's not a matter of revenge. It's not stupid or immature. It's more like loyalty. So if you were to meet someone that really loved your best, best friend- someone who thought they were really intelligent, artistic, creative, whatever- wouldn't you be inclined to think highly of your new acquaintance as well? They have good taste after all!

I've met a great number of fans that are like this in any case. The plethora of Jin-only, Kame-only, Koichi-only, Tsuyoshi-only, Takki-only, Tsubasa-only, ETC. fans grates on the nerves of everyone. And for fans that are slightly biased towards say, Koichi, but still somewhat like Tsuyoshi get especially annoyed at Tsuyoshi-only fans who endlessly declare Tsuyoshi's superiority. Some can't help getting so fed up they avoid Tsuyoshi fans and things related to him in general. And the whole time, negative feelings brew beneath the surface towards both the fans and Tsuyoshi himself. It doesn't seem to make sense, but I say this because I've seen it happen. (I'm glad you like Yax3 as a whole by-the-way. It's one of the reasons why I like your blog.) A lot of Arashi fans used to hate, or still do hate KAT-TUN fans and KAT-TUN because of the things KAT-TUN fans said about Arashi. They'd supposedly always whined and complained about Arashi debuting and KAT-TUN not debuting. KAT-TUN fans would hate on Arashi and in turn, a lot of Arashi fans lost any interest in KAT-TUN because they couldn't stand it. So who was at fault here? Surely not KAT-TUN, but KAT-TUN's fans! The fandom of a group matters a lot and individual members can leave an impression on visitors or people dabbling into new groups. Why else would I read your blog? :]

I didn't say I hate you. Er... I'm pretty sure I didn't. o__O If I did, forgive me. I will eat my own words. I rather think I said that hating was stupid, though. xD Oh! And actually, I wasn't annoyed specifically at you saying you hated Jin. It was more something like about preconceptions... that you and the other commenter on your blog assumed (okay assumed is not the word I am looking for, but I can't figure it out D:) that KAT-TUN was making fun of pretty little Akama. How antagonistic! It made me disappointed (and a tad irritated) that bad feelings were so quick to surface. Especially since I've also respected you for a while as a junior fan. I was rewatching the DVD just now because I was curious to see other KAT-TUN/junior interactions and I watched the whole junior section of the concert. Everything was seriously ad-libbed and random and they all fooled around. CUTE. Akama and Hoshino did this thing with Kame... AHAHAHA. I seriously giggled madly. So the clip you have was taken out of context and it was assumed (ah, this word again) that KAT-TUN were mean, terrible, or strange people. xD I'll try to upload it because it was fun and I think it would put things into perspective for those who haven't seen it.
(OH! And if you watch in the background, at the beginning of 'Sekai ga...', Hoshino smiles at Jin's stupid. :D He was amused!)

Last thing: Opinions are good. Hating is bad. I think there is a fine line between the two. Openly express opinions; hate in moderation (it puts you in a bad mood anyway! And then the thing you hate has gotten the best of you.) and only to people that understand your reasoning behind it and won't judge. I wouldn't consider your "hate" for Jin hate anyway. It's more like... dislike. Lol.

I'm sorry you don't like broccoli btw. :/ Perhaps you have not tried it cooked really well? idk. 8D ♥ *loooves broccoli* And... thanks for respecting Jin's stupidity tenacity? xD
