Last, final, this-is-really-the-end author's note: Thank you so much to everyone who has accompanied me for all or part of this journey, whether by commenting, encouraging me, or, perhaps best of all, simply by reading. This story will always be really special to me, because while it may just be fanfic, it has become a record of the most eventful ( ( Read more... )

I promised a proper comment on this amazing work of fiction, and I always deliver on my promises. I'm appalled at the fandom for not showing you more love, but clearly their comments won't be as good as mine anyway, since I'm your number one fan and all. Who would have known a year ago what would happen as a result of this story? It's been one hell of a ride, bb, and I'm so thankful that you decided to venture into this fandom and provide, quite literally, a life-changing story.
-Thank you for the shout-out in the author's note! That means so much to me...I don't even think you realize how much.
-OMG when Gabriel was there, I nearly died. I can just imagine Sharon’s supreme awkwardness at bumping into Gabriel on that flight.
-I also loved how real their reunion felt. I love how you wrote that entire scene, especially how they didn’t rush into anything, like they had all the time in the world. That part made me feel a lot of feelings…I could really relate to that, tbh. Hugging while the water boiled…*happy sigh*
-Also loved the intimacy in their lovemaking, and how it was such a shift from the urgency of their affair. You’ve done a beautiful job describing the evolution of their relationship with every little nuance.
-Brenda’s purple room OMFG. I died. I love that B wanted to surround herself in little reminders of the woman she loves, and that she took such a gamble in her certainty that S would come back to her. (I mean, we all knew B and S would end up together, but B didn’t necessarily know that)
-Really loved how they didn’t SAY that they love each other, and that they’re taking it slow. They rushed their relationship in a lot of ways, and this was a particularly nice touch.
-I love their mornings together. A bit of déjà vu there 
-Sharon in converse. I died.
-LOVED that Sharon got promoted. Girl, when you write a story about your favorite character, you don’t fuck around, do you?? You’re my favorite.
-I still can’t believe that you wrote office sex! (really, really hot office sex…) I only approve because YOU wrote it, and because they weren’t completely naked and banging loudly during the middle of the work day. My favorite part about this is that I imagine Sharon thinking: “I was suspended for a decade, my house was sprayyyyyyed by bullets, and now I’m a Commander. I’m gonna go ahead and have sex with my hot lesbian lover/coworker in my office as a way of saying thanks to the LAPD. WHAT NOW?”
-The Mulder/Scully, Hannibal/Clarice references absolutely killed me. SO CUTE. OMG…You’re my favorite.
-Again, I have to just say how much I really enjoyed the evolution of their relationship. I love that you didn’t rush them in the end, that it was *realistic* -- they’re working women, coworkers, and they’ve got this new relationship to juggle...it felt really authentic, and I really related to the story you told. (you served up relationship REALNESS)
-THAT CLIFFHANGER. I hate you. Not really. But seriously….you’re gonna write a sequel, right? Or at least tell me who was behind this master plan??

Thank you for writing one of the most well-written, beautifully characterized stories I’ve ever read. I’m so thankful for this story for so many reasons and you know what all of them are, but I thank you simply as a reader.
