im really disgusted right now.
i have to say this. i have to rant. you can read it or not, but im not going to apologize for my beliefs. im also not going to apologize for being preachy. this is my journal and i can write whatever i want in it.
in the past, i have tolerated and even tried to see the point of view that people have when they based their opinions of people on race. but ive come to the conclusion that i cannot do it. i cannot justify someone's opinion on thinking someone is stupider or louder or has a bigger penis or can do math better or can blow up people because of their GENES.
for God's sake people...this is one situation where if you think you are superior to ANYONE else because you're white or black or asian or arab or alien or whatever YOUR OPINION IS WRONG. there is something really really wrong about people relating to each other only on what they look like. i dont care if this sounds clique. its clique because it happens SO MUCH. and its awful.
its awful that people dont recognize what they're doing. its awful that no one says anything about it, or that the people that do aren't taken seriously. its awful that i haven't kicked the living crap out of the people who act like this or at least said "no that's wrong" enough. i dont care if you're ignorant because of your rich suburb or city or farm or whatever that you grew up in. people have enough sense to recognize that anyone that walks on two legs and has hair on their head and questions their existence, is a human and they are no different from you and there is no way you can justify you being superior or inferior.
it makes me really sad that we've come to this and other ways of life,like seeking out and being drawn to those who look exactly like us. i dont understand this. people have built in curiousity but these awful rules to help us crudely understand the world. its not only killing our curiousity, its killing our communion with each other and our ability to have fufilling, happy lives.
its making me think that people aren't trying to be happy, they're just trying to find the easy way out. thats our purpose then, if you're gonna hang out with your mirror images and put blinders on to anyone whos come from a different place, your purpose in life is to coast on by as easily as you can, and learn nothing and take/contribute nothing from/to life.
the next time you say someONE is someTHING because of what they look like, or you disassociate yourself from other people because they're not like you, first you can think about all im thinking about right now, and then you can attempt to dislodge your head from your buttocks, and then my fist from your face.
