Billy's father often had business trips, so that was no surprise. But when his mother said that she was taking his younger brothers to North Carolina to visit his grandmother he was shocked, to say the least. He had begged and pleaded not to go. He was seventeen, he could look after himself, besides all his friends had Halloween parties this weekend and he didn't want to miss out on them.
Finally after days of begging his mother submitted and allowed him to stay by himself, so long as there were no parties, and that no one was to stay the night, no one of course meant Teddy. But she said it as a general statement for whatever reason.
Well he'd follow one rule at least?
It was about noon when he'd invited Teddy over, to just chill and pass out candy with him when the trick or treaters finally started arriving. He sent the other a text, just in case he was doing anything, it was, after all, a holiday.
[Hey man, wondering what ur doin 2day. Wanna come over?]
When that was sent he decided to just grab something quick to eat, and popped into the kitchen placing some bread in the toaster and trying to find exactly where on the counters his dad had hidden the butter.
