Blooming Orchid

Well this is a bit different from my normal works so I do hope you all enjoy it. as always comments good or bad(as long as polite) are always welcome.

Blooming Orchid

As she breaks the ropes
of bondage and self-doubt
shackles hold steadfast
engulfed by lies and torment
whips of the past
scarred her flesh
rivulets of blood
are her only tears
told she is a disgraced
beauty hidden by the torture
of blind hatred
a good heart blackened
by a disfigure soul
inhuman to the needs of others
with time darkness fades to dawn
the shackles rust away
whip rotted and blood dry to crimson
the tears and disgrace
leave behind a garden
blooming in the morning dew
the love given
now returning
her prison became a sanctuary
her love an orchid
beautiful and fragile
receiving the light of a new day
may it eternally bloom.

There are those who inspired this piece and it is them this goes to. I feel it does little justice but is an effort to show my admiration to them. Time is the one thing we can not change, but it can help heal with support and love.
