well, yesterday i went to a LTC (leadership training confrence -- its a camp for student councils throughout New Jersey - or, for schools who participate in the NJASC -- new jersey association of Student Councils) and, i went to the camp last year, and this year, i was asked to be a counselor :-) , we had to send 9 applications with a picture of ourselves and a letter of reccomendation from our principal, and believe me, liek every kid who went to this camp (about 300) applied, and only liek 12 kids got picked, so im really happy aboput it, especially since my camp experience was cut short this year. anyway, it was from 9am to 1pm, so, it was kinda long, also, im the yountgest counselor, im only 14, and everyone, and i mean EVERYONE else can DRIVE themselves to the place, im the only one who needs a parent to drive me :-(. ive neevr felt so young before - also, if i get to be a counselor for the middle level (youngest group), ill still only be one year older than them - theyre not gonna listen to me - not to mentuion that theeres a good chance i might be a counselor to the high school kids, who are older than me! so after that i went to pick up my clothes from camp, which let me tell u is destroyed. my cabin was lifted off its cinderblocks and floated away, luckily a tree stopped it...anyway, the places where jons were, are holes in the ground. my clothes are ruined, as well as my mp3 player, my dads cellphone and my yearbook, which is irreplacible. i also had to dig through a huge pile of clothes to find my missing ones, and im still missing a bathing suit top. about 30 dollars worth of contacts are gone, my retainer is nowhere to be found and so are about 10 bracelets i made at camp. my counselors were all there except for emily. its so wierd to see them there liek that, they werent happy, well, they were really happy to see me, they started crying, and so did i. they looked o sad, and it was so sad to see them. they told me abotu how they were having dinner in travis's (camp director) front lawn, and these two 4 yr old kids came by, and they begged them to play with them. they told me how camp isnt the same without the kids there... i could tell it must be sad. i miss my couselors so much, and i didnt miss them this much when i came home, its just really really heartbreaking to see them all without smiles on their faces and working really hard to clean camp. so, yeah, i spent the rest of my day tryign to clean my clothges, but its useless... today i went to the movies with nicole foley, we saw dodgeball, again, and umm, then i came home, and got wonderful news that im going to collingswood (gay town where chrissy lives) on wednesday and thrusday...yay!! haha, im sooo happy about that... thats about it...
