Man, yesterday and today were the best days to be off work! It was so hot - I didn't feel like being in a non-airconditioned classroom with thirty other bodies. Ick. Our house isn't airconditioned either, but we've got batts in the ceiling and there aren't thirty other people here.
It was 37C yesterday (I think) - forecast was 42C. Today the forecast was 35C but it ended up being 41C. Cheers for that, Weather Bureau. Thanks for the heads up. Tomorrow, you ask? 22C. Ha, we'll see. I don't know if I should risk wearing jeans when we have a Weather Bureau who consistently gets the temperature wrong by 6 DEGREES!
Back at work tomorrow though. I have a Year 5 - work's been left for me and it's SO easy. But there's heaps of it so it will keep them busy all day. Probably longer than that actually...they have a rehearsal for something after recess and then assembly after lunch. I like this class, so it should be a good day.
I have to say no to anyone at WPS who asks me to work on Friday though. Ella asked me if I could on Monday and I had a feeling she needed me to replace her. And she's replacing Peter right now and he does sport for RFF. Yay, my favourite. *roll eyes* My hunch was right and I don't want to fill in for another teacher and then have them open their big traps about it to Ella. So I'll have to be unavailable all together.
Oh, and John Howard's a dickhead. He's refused to sign a peace treaty with Southeast Asian countries. Why? The same reason he won't sign the Kyoto protocol. 'Cause he's a dickhead. If I was Southeast Asia (I know it's not the one country but I'm speaking collectively), I wouldn't have signed the free trade agreement with him until he signed the peace treaty. He loves free trade agreements - that'd really hit him where it hurts.
Rant about the weather. Check
Rundown of tomorrow's events. Check
Barely informed political commentary. Yup, definitely check. :D
And I'm chipper - not because I really am but because I've never selected that one before.
