Between Darek and Jennifer, they have done an awesome job at keeping my musical tastes relatively young and up to date.
Jen's 29th birthday was Monday and I took her to see Nickelback Thursday night, as that is what she wanted for her BDay. I knew I liked Nickelback a lot, and Darek agreed that they are a good band, and I would enjoy the show. Last summer I got Jen tickets to see Stained, Alter Bridge and 3 Doors Down, and I was most definitely the oldest person there, LOL!! I completely assumed I would be the eldest at this one as well! It doesn't REALLY bother me a whole lot, lol, it just makes me feel
O-L-D!!!!
Well did we have FUN!!!!!!!!Oh wow!!! What a show!! Trapt and then Chevelle opened for Nickelback, and they were both really good, but NICKELBACK!!! My My My... Not only are they great musicians and vocalists, but they are CUTE CUTE CUTE!! And the effects were wonderful! Those boys are PYROS! There were flames and explosions, and fireworks galore! The sound system was great, and they used the middle theatre projector a lot. My daughter and I stood up in the nosebleed section most of the time. Our whole row only had two seats in it, so we were undisturbed by other humans, which was very nice!
Before the show, Jen and I walked around a bit, then went to Starbucks for a massive coffee (hey, I had to stay up until 2am!) and then to dinner at McCormicks Seafood. We had a terrific dinner, and a wonderful conversation.
I got some show photos on my cell phone, and if I ever figure out how to down load those I will show you some, but for now here's a couple of my daughter and I before the show. Charlotte is an awesome city! Very beautiful, clean, flowers and fountains everywhere!! I love it!
By the way, as we were going into the arena, I asked the ticket taker "So, am I the oldest one here"?? And she said "You just don't worry about that none!! Have yourself some FUN!!" AND I DID!!
Enjoy the photos!
