Been a while....

Well, it's been quite a while since I posted anything here on LJ, so I figured I would do one now.

I've been pretty busy lately, dividing my time between job hunting, getting ready for Con-nichiwa 2011 (Tucson anime convention), making cosplays for Chloie & Eva and having a German student visit for a week.  Today was actually a day to take it kind of easy, doesn't happen too often.

Con-nichiwa 2011 is quickly approaching, we have less than a month until the con...can't believe it.  We have some awesome guests this year including Sonny Strait (Maes Hughes from Full Metal Alchemist) and Todd Haberkorn (Italy from Hetalia & Death the Kid from Soul Eater).  I'm really looking forward to working with them at the con.  Guess I better get their schedules done pretty soon so I can email them to them.  I still have to finish a  couple of contracts and finalize everything for the staff/guest lounge, better get busy.

I'm making 3 cosplay outfits for Chloie & Eva each.  The one I've been putting most of my effort into is for our Japanese Matsuri we are having at the con.  I am making them each Wa Lolita dresses for the Matsuri fashion show.  I'll have to post pics here when I get them done, they are really cute if I do say so myself.  Another costume set is from Kamen Rider and the other is from Pokemon, Eva designed the Pokemon ones, they will all be cute.  Eva is such a good artist, she even drew me a pic of my Arashi ichiban, Ohno, it looks so cute, I'll have to post it here once she gets it colored for me.

Last week we had a student from Germany stay with us.  She is part of our towns sister cities program with Mexico & Germany.  She is in Mexico right now and will be back here on Sunday (going to take her to Tombstone) and then returns to Germany on Wednesday.  She's really nice and luckily into anime like we are.

Other than sewing & job hunting I've been watching a lot of J-Dramas, trying to watch all of Nino's dramas, even the older ones.  Watched Tengoku de Kimi ni Aetara today and Haikei, Chichiue-sama this weekend, they were both really good.  I also watched Wagaya no Rekishi with Matsu in it this weekend, it was great, I really enjoyed it to the point of staying up later than usual to watch it.

Well, guess I better get back to the job hunting and sewing, will try and update sooner this time, especially once I get the cosplays done for the girls.
