http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuroshitsuji (Have two! The first says more about Sebastian himself, while the second is a general plot overview.)

Much of Sebastian's history is unknown. Anything that occurred before the beginning of the series is, for the most part, a total mystery.

Age: No one knows how old Sebastian is. He is a demon, so he could be thousands of years old. He did canonically state that he started the Black Death in Europe, which occurred in the 14th century. We know based on that that he is at least 800 years old.

Canon point: Kuroshitshuji II (anime), end of series.

Personality: Sebastian Michaelis is, first and foremost, a demon. No matter how human he may appear to be, he is still a demon. He does not succumb to human vices and has no interest in earthly pleasures and concerns. He does not sleep unless he wants to (for recreational purposes), and he does not need to eat normal food. In a sense, Sebastian is ideal for this twisted environment that Loki has created, since Sebastian is an undying creature that has no moral compunctions about doing what he needs to in order to "survive and entertain."

Sebastian's personality traits outside of his species can be divided into 4 sections:

First, and most important: Sebastian's aesthetics. Any sense of morality that Sebastian appears to have will be based on these aesthetics. Among the rules that he governs himself by are:

Punctuality: He hates being late. He hates running behind on any sort of schedule that he is holding himself to. This is most commonly seen through him constantly checking his watch throughout the series to note the time and whether or not he has kept to his rigorous schedule.

Honesty: Sebastian will rarely, if ever at all, lie to his contractee. If something cannot be said without lying, he will talk around it. If someone else inquires too specifically, he will find a way to excuse himself to keep from lying, or simply give his play on words to explain his actions. The most infamous example: "I am but a butler." In the kanji used for this phrase, 'akuma' (demon) is used. Therefore, the sentence becomes a truth: "I am but a demon and a butler."

Loyalty: Sebastian refuses to contract another soul when he has already formed one. The human he is tied to will receive his services exclusively for however long it takes to make their wish come true and complete their contract.

Gourmet pallet: Sebastian refuses to contract and eat anyone that doesn't have a high-quality soul. Only the most brilliant, utterly breathtaking souls will do. He once declared that he was done "messily sampling every dish" and would only eat the best from now on. Even if that meant waiting for long periods of time between his meals.

Second: Outside of his personal rules, Sebastian has a delightful sense of humor. Puns come naturally to him and he seems to find amusement in even the darkest situations. He is often seen teasing Ciel in subtle but effective ways. For example: It was suggested that Ciel dress up as a girl to attend a party. Sebastian, in turn, insisted that Ciel play the part to a 'T' by making Ciel undergo finishing school to train necessary "ladylike" attitude. While Ciel did not find this amusing, Sebastian certainly did. As another example: when Sebastian and Ciel go to visit the Undertaker on occasion,Sebastian tells the Undertaker excellent jokes as payment for information about whatever they're investigating. Mysteriously, however, Sebastian doesn't let anyone hear these particular jokes. Akin to his humor, Sebastian also has no trouble performing, dancing, playing instruments, and tolerating Lizzie's frilly bonnets. Sebastian just has no shame. He seems to find no more enjoyment than in annoying his master as much as he can get away with, along with pleasing the guests that Ciel hosts.

Third: Sebastian has demonstrated various ways of performing household tasks and organizing himself to the point of suggesting that he is OCD. Everything has to be perfectly played, tasks must be finished to immaculate standards, and you'll never see a speck of dirty on his gloves. If there isn't "a place for everything and everything in it's place," then the situation isn't acceptable by this demon's standards. Perhaps these mannerisms was learned due to Ciel's desire for Sebastian to be good at everything he did; to be the best butler humanly (and inhumanly) possible. It is shown many times throughout the series that Ciel is always pushing the limits of what his butler is capable of: Ciel wants better food and things to be done things faster. Ciel devises more complicated tasks whenever he can come up with them, just to test the boundaries of what Sebastian is able to do. To combat this challenge, the demon has stepped up his game to complete everything asked of him to better honor their contract.

Fourth: Sebastian has shown in subtle (and not so subtle) ways that he is a sadist. Seeing people hurt--people bleed and cry out--absolutely makes his day. The biggest show of sadistic pleasure Sebastian had was when he beat the crap out of Grell, a death god. Having rendered Grell's death scythe chainsaw useless via his coat, Sebastian smiled with pleasure as he pummeled Grell into a bloody mess. Sebastian was especially happy to injure Grell's face, which was the one place that Grell begged him not to hit. In other ways, seeing Ciel's discomfort makes Sebastian happy, and Sebastian enjoys punishing anyone who tries to upset and distress the Phantomhive household.

Overall:Sebastian is a very enigmatic, awesome, and entertaining being. He is a lonesome creature of darkness, just existing here in this world to find a decent lunch and perhaps satiate his need for contact with something for at least a short period of time... before hunger consumes all else.

Powers/Abilities: Being a demon gives Sebastian a large pool of superhuman abilities. Starting with the basics: Sebastian has no trouble moving at incredible speeds, lifting large heavy objects like train cars or stone statues, killing someone just by stabbing them through with his hand, or being underwater for indefinite amounts of time.

While weapons work on Sebastian in the sense that a sword WILL cut his arm off or a gun's bullets WILL knock him down, human weapons seem to have no life- threatening effect on him. One of the most notable scenes in the anime is of gang members pumping Sebastian full of bullets... and he simply spits them back out in order to "return" them.

His other notable abilities include being able to sense his current master's needs through the special bond of their contract, which involves speaking to them on a telepathic level when close enough. He has the ability to change forms (a cat, or a crow). He can pick up human skills and knowledge at an accelerated rate (such as cooking, playing instruments, and so on). And of course, he can form demonic contracts with humans. While I would imagine that he has other skills that are not shown due to the situation he's in, I will leave off here. However, as a demon, he can probably teleport, fly with wings, and traverse the astral plane.

Las Vegas.

That was a name Sebastian hadn't heard of in his many years. However, it was clear to him that wherever he had been transported to was inside a dimension and timeline different from his own. It was still Earth, yet empty. Humanity had been wiped out by a war that raged on both the spiritual and physical plains. The streets were cracked and dusty, the air was clouded with sand; the only hospitality was a single strip of ruined civilization in the middle of an expansive desert. It was dirty, rural, and pathetic. Had the Young Master really been deposited in such a place?

Taking a moment to get his bearings, Sebastian jumped down from the tall, well-lit building named the Bellagio and landed in the street. Water misted against his back from a nearby fountain; he turned to it and gazed into its depths while sensing his Master's signature out. Ciel was nearby... but there was something different about him. The newborn demon child had always had an air of maturity about him, but his distorted and brilliant soul... well, it felt older to Sebastian. As if time had somehow aged him despite his unmoving immortality.

It hadn't been very long since everything between them changed, when the young, blue-haired noble had been transformed into a creature of Hell. When Sebastian was bound to this child's will exclusively... and eternally. Sebastian's crimson eyes gazed down at the contractual circle on his hand, and he frowned disdainfully. He'd never again serve another master. He'd never again get to decide for himself what he would do with his future. It was maddening, and horrifying. It was absolute. He had to find Ciel. It was his only available task for now. The letter clasped in his right hand that he had received upon entry had no meaning to him until this task was completed.

He ran forward. The sandy wind whipped at his face as he scanned the dilapidated housing on all sides and searching for that familiar pull of the Young Master's soul. Such a disorderly mess, this entire tiny community. Sebastian could not help but wonder if Loki even paid much attention to what he created due to what looked like stagnate boredom. Then again... the lit up billboards, and the strictly enforced rules... surely, Loki did not care so much about the subjects themselves as he did about their results. It was almost difficult for Sebastian to believe. It would have been if he was not already familiar with the unusual and unknown.

Loki, God of Mischief... so, such an entity existed in this world. Fitting that with absolute power came the wish to abuse it in such ways that were hardly necessary. It seemed a pity, and yet entertaining that Loki would trap so many here to eventually wither away in the desert after satiating his perverted sense of humor. But Sebastian did not want such a cruel fate for neither his master nor himself, however. He would find a way to return them to their own reality. If he could not, then he would find a way to make their stay in the destroyed metropolis as comfortable as possible. The amount of sexual acts required for this meant absolutely nothing to him

But Sebastian was certain of one thing: No one would touch his master but himself. Not unless Ciel himself wished otherwise.
