Milo and Otis
Sam was showering, valiantly trying to ignore Cas’ rubber duck sitting on the edge of the tub. Castiel almost constant presence these days and after finding out about Deans efforts of teaching the angel about human activities he was curious about what this all included.
And were they practical demonstrations? Sam found the idea of Dean teaching the angel to bathe mildly disturbing. He was shocked to see that Castiel had his own duffle, although if he was bathing and had sleep pants and stuff it shouldn’t have been a surprise. Yet it was.
Once the water was off he could hear their voices muffled through the door. Dean had convinced the angel to watch a some tv that wasn’t the new. Sam wasn’t sure how well that would go.
“But I don’t understand, how can this being not notice the cameras, and how did the bears not go after the humans? And how did they find out about this extraordinary creatures journey? ”
“Ah, Cas? Its not a documentary dude” Dean chuckles. “Its a movie, a fictional movie. All the animals had been trained; it’s supposed to be... Oh I don’t know...inspirational? Maybe?” Dean sounds like he is not sure of the reason. “Like no matter how small you are you have the ability to over come the odds, kinda like... a..a... metaphor, yeah a metaphor.” He sounded like he was warming up to the subject, almost sounded proud of himself.
Sam had found the whole thing amusing wondering what it was that they were watching.
“So it could be a metaphorical tale about us. You would be the one who goes on many adventures, surviving against unparalleled odds. I would be the one who follows, sometimes too late to be of help but came and pulled you from the deep hole? I, of course did not need to find a rope to pull you out, but my wings? Is this a correct assessment?” He sounded hesitant, and hopeful that his deduction was correct.
“Totally, see dude...:
Sam couldn’t take it any more, he had to see what this show was about, especially if it was a metaphor for Dean’s life journey. He exited the bathroom to see the two sitting cross-legged on Dean’s bed facing each other totally engrossed in their discussion.
He looked to the tv to see the movie Milo and Otis on the screen.
