(some day soon? You'll totally get more art. I had a scanning-fest!)
Title: In Which Ryan and Spencer have a daughter.
Pairing: Ryan/Spencer
Rating/Warnings: G (it exists in bandom?)
Prompt: 68-Ryan/Spencer: established relationship fic where they have a kid.
Summary: Uhm. There isn't one? But in the first piece they're walking, and I totally have a story about the second one. If you click the link, you can read it...:)
Notes: *crickets*
Disclaimer: I don't own them, nor do I know them, and I very much doubt that they have a daughter, adopted or otherwise. Also, I definitely stole some of the paint from my art teacher. :)
1. This is Ryan and Spencer. Ryan is on the far left; Spencer is on the far right. This is also Codey. Codey is in the middle. Spencer and Ryan are Codey's daddies. They all love each other very much.
2. So, in my head, this happens:
Spencer is fumbling with the key in the lock, brown paper grocery bag against one hip, when he hears clanging. The clanging is metallic and either following a very bizarre rhythm, in a very bizarre time signature, or just plain off beat. It sounds, maybe, like Ryan has gotten yet another strange instrument by mail-order, and is trying and failing to play it. At least, Spencer hopes that isn't how it's meant to be played.
Opening the door to the house, Spencer calls out, "Ryan, I don't care what you say, there is no way in he--heck that that's going on your and Jon's record, not if you want me to come to any shows."
He puts down the shopping, tucks his shoes away into the closet, and looks into the kitchen. A grin breaks out across his face.
Codey is sitting on the tile floor, legs around a little sauce pan. She's banging on it with a wooden spoon and smiling like nobodies business. Ryan stands a few feet away. He seems to be sulking: his arms are crossed, his eyebrows drawn, his posture terrible.
Ryan says, "I wanted her to be a guitarist," and Spencer laughs and laughs.
(Then Spencer says, "that's my girl," and Codey says, "daddy," and then Spencer kisses Ryan until everyone is smiling. Then, this happens:)
(after, Ryan calls Jon and bemoans the guitar thing. His smile is audible, though, so Jon mostly just talks about his cats, right over everything Ryan is saying.)
