this girl's amazing, really.
There's this Indian idol-like singing competition that's going on now, for kids, and it's down to the last four and there's only one girl left. She's just 13, but she's seriously amazing. For example, just today we were watching one of the latest episodes and the kids were singing songs for which A R Rahman did the music direction and this girl's just too good. If she doesn't win it's a crazy world we live in.
Here's a comparison of a song she sang and the original song. There's not much difference, actually.It's from a movie from the 90s and hm that would explain the kind of ehhh quality of the song from the movie, but yeah song's typical A R Rahman and if you're the kind of person who thought his music for Slumdog was amazing, you should give this a listen and probably realise he's done much much better things before that movie. I can rant for hours about how amazing AR Rahman is because he just is. Amazing.And a wonderful person.
