first things first.today is a special day because it's
tentickled 's 18th birthday! here is the birthday gift from my beloved blog to you:
haha the colour-chaning temperature-sensitive cups of win. yay.can't wait for tomorrow! we shall have a blast before maths tuition!
secondly, as i said in my earlier post, we finished Waiting For Godot today and I felt like it was quite an incredible lesson. I want to always remember today as the day I finished understanding Godot for the first time, the first time we completed it from beginning to end. The looks on everyone's faces is something I don't think I will ever forget- not after we have all witnessed Mr Lyon doing Vladimir's last kinda-monologue/soliloquy. The play is so powerful, you cannot help but feel affected by it in some way. It's not so much you get depressed by it, but you end up really thinking about things, and that introspection can leave you a little depressed. Today's class was nice, everyone said some really nice things, almost everyone let out some sort of groan of frustration or a little "ahhh" or some sort of exclamation in response to the whole gravity of the play and ugh, it was getting to me. Except then I saw Chester laughing and saw him wonder why he was laughing in the first place and I felt a litle better on the inside. I went home feeling rather morose, but after going jogging I feel a lot happier.
Godot done; it's kind of scary, but in a good way.
thirdly, Lit Week/Lit Fest was this week and it's a pity that everything kind of got scaled down to just the poster exhibition. But the posters were really very pretty and minimalist(while mine seemed the least minimalist, seriously) and I agree with a lot of people when I say that instead of selling notebooks they should have sold postcards of the posters. A few people actually asked me if they could buy the posters. T'was a nice feeling though, people complimenting me on my poster. It's one of the first bit of photoshopped stuff that has actually been displayed anywhere. I mean most of my photoshopping was either for robotics stuff in Cedar(which is kind of bleh because almost everyone in Robotics can work their way round photoshop and therefore we are not easily impressed by photoshopped stuff to an extent) or for my blog, or for other people specifically, so hm. Being displayed in the canteen for everyone to see felt kind of awesome. The Beckett poster was pretty awesome.Bright yellow! I have a picture of my poster. I shall put it up sometime, perhaps.
hm. that is well all i wanted to say for now, so i'll leave it at this and go be productive:P
have a lovely weekend!
