Nodame Cantabile.

I actually started reading this manga about three years ago when it was still ongoing but was popular. But then I stopped reading due to increasing impatience for releases... and so... indeed, I have recently taken it up again. Actually, I started with the drama first. I had recently finished watching Secret Garden (Korean drama) and so I wanted to take up another drama series to watch. I watched a few first episodes for some series but never really stayed with it because it didn't really... how do I say it... "take me in"? I forgot the proper saying... being away from school really does something to me!  But anyway, when I watched the first episode of Nodame Cantabile, I was completely absorbed in it and the story. I finished watching the series (AND the TWO movies!) in about four days - I have too much time on my hands... and since I was completely obsessed with the drama, I started reading the manga immediately after, which took about two and a half days to complete reading the entire manga (yes, ALL 25 volumes). Actually, I just finished about twenty minutes ago o_o;  I still have to watch the anime... but I think I'll still say that the drama is the best interpretation of the manga. (Is that the correct wording? Dx) Even though the manga is the original, I feel like I understand the character's feelings more in the drama... more so because the manga is supposed to be a comedy and you don't really think the characters are serious even when they're crying and there's those depressed lines... For example --> (-__-'l|) ... But yeah. The manga is necessary to read before you watch the movies, so you should read the manga too anyway!

SO! Another recommendation from me :3 I feel like I've been doing this waaay too much lately...

Also... watching and reading [though you can't hear anything when you read] Nodame Cantabile has really made me into a classical freak. Actually, a severe classical freak (I was already a classical freak). I've also gotten a bit emotional when listening to orchestral performances, and I have been slowly practicing more on the piano (other than for class, that is.) I'm also planning on researching up some history behind some songs while listening to some new ones.

Hopefully, I'll be able to do all this before Japanese class tomorrow... =__=; That is, if I wake up early enough... and if I sleep now... It's 2:32 am Dx
