That's a bad picture - here's a better one!

This is one of the most recognisable Pond pieces, and also one of the most difficult to come by. Whistles is not an inexpensive brand! I reckon it's a nice touch that Amy's wardrobe goes from stuff like Topshop to Whistles, it goes hand-in-hand with her developing character and aging up, but it does make collecting that much harder. Whistles' garments are beautiful, well-made and popular with non-cosplayers, which means you'll often be in competition with them as well as other collectors.
Despite the price tag, the dress' outer is actually viscose and the navy lining polyester. Viscose is my favourite fabric - it hangs beautifully, is resistant to creases, and those that do appear drop out easily. The dress is slightly sheer and has no stretch at all. The sleeves are fitted and not adjustable. There are small belt loops sewn in to hold the belt in place, which is cloth-covered and quite small - but given the dress has zero give, if it doesn't fit you the belt certainly won't.
This is such a flattering dress. Again - the magic of Whistles! My dress is a UK10 and just a little bit too snug on me, and since I usually wear at UK12 I can safely say it fits true to size and is friendly to bigger-busted girls. The buttons that run up the chest sit on a scalloped strip of fabric and while the buttons are well-sewn don't pop open, the scalloping likes to curl up and needs a good press to remind it who is boss now and again.
The care instructions say dry clean only but I handwash mine in cold water, and it has not suffered any fading, fraying or other damage as a result. I squeeze it out gently (never wring!!) and then hang it somewhere to drip-dry. If it's a still day, it can go outside, otherwise I take no risks and hang it somewhere with a towel underneath.
Now, remember how I said it was difficult to come by? Well, it does appear now and again ... and it's always very pricey, given how in-demand it is. The most I've seen it go for is about $AUD450. The least is what I got mine for - I bought it from someone who didn't know what they had, and weren't selling worldwide, so it slipped under the radar of everyone else.
