weird day.
i'm glad the day finally mellowed out.
so as you may have read, this morning my car crapped out on me, which was potentially very dangerous. as things have been very busy today i never got the full story from mom about what was wrong with it, but some belt went and somethingorother and in the long run it would be about $1000 to fix probably (it may even have other problems we don't know about). it's not worth it, so i think we're going to ditch the lemon. mom and i are supposed to go to a used car place to check out some sweet rides tomorrow. mom's friend (who has a very accident-prone daughter) said that the place was really reliable so let's cross fingers. no more american garbagemobiles.
after they towed my car off the parkway, mom dropped me off at the boys' apartment on dixwell, and mike picked me up there. i got to see brian and bobbeaux and jason (and some other kid?) for a little bit. after mike picked me up we went downtown and had awesome food at au bon pain (the feta wrap thing i had was awwwwwwesome i swear) and also we went to cutler's and urban outfitters and i bought some amazing sunglasses to add to my granny collection. then we saw sketchy mike wandering and brought him back to school with us.
anyway i did the radio show after that, but it was kinda anti-climactic. i hate when nobody is around on campus. it was so empty there today.
after the show mike brought me home and i took some pictures with dana. she looked beautiful! then matt got there and the two of them took adorable pictures together. it was very cute. i hope dana had fun at the prom, she stopped home for a minute before to change her contacts or something (one ripped!) but we didn't get to talk much. from what i could tell though their limo looked bitchin.
so anyway mike stayed at the house for a bit. we rented some movies but only watched one, which was empire records. mike and i don't have compatible movie taste which makes me a little sad, but it's okay. i am pretty sure the only person i could easily rent movies with would be britt harris, cause he likes movies with record stores in them and i bet he likes chick flicks too. but mike and i will work on it.
anyway gotta get sleep so mom and i can check out fucking cars tomorrow, and cause i have work at 1:30. adios.
