Is there anything better than Ben & Jerrys? Seriously, I could probably eat the whole pint at one go if I didn't make myself stretch it out into at least three servings. It's ridiculously good, not to mention really fun and funky. I've tried Late Night Snack and Clusterfluff in the last couple of months and both are really good. LNS is vanilla bean ice cream with salted carmel and choco coverd potato chip pieces - sweet and salty goodness* while CF is peanut butter ice cream with more peanut butter swirled in, marshmallow fluff swirls, and little carmel things *which i'm snacking on now*. Of course it's hard to beat the classic Cherry Garcia and Chunky Monkey
I love watching Mythbusters *just went off*, they do some of the craziest things, and it does have some benefits to watching it, like sparking an intrest in science, etc. It really does seem like the dream job, I mean how many jobs do you have that enables you to - work with some really cool ideas, blow things up on purpose, use guns/weapons, build/fabricate creative contraptions, use your brain and have fun...
We started watching a lot of Discovery Channel, History Channel and Animal Planet when Bryce was younger and it sorta stuck with us. I think it really helped make him interested in science and history. It may seem silly but when he was 5 and knew who Cleopatra was or knew one of the theories for why the dinosaurs became extinct, or some other little trivial fact about some thing it made me feel like i was doing a good job as a mom. I wish it was still as easy to keep him intrested in educational things, like school. He is doing well but I know he could do better, but he still has a ways to go so maybe something will click or strike an intrest and he will be more excited about school soon.
One of my bosses told me that he feels like I have a lot of potential and could possibly advance in the company I'm working at, which is good. My question is do I want to move up in that company and how far would I want to go? I've always told myself that i will eventually do something "better" something "more" than what I'm doing now, but maybe I'm just deluding myself. Maybe I'm just where I'm going to be and I should just make the best of it and go on, it's not like oppurtunities are presenting themselves left and right. OK, dirty little secret time, I didn't even graduate high school.... By my junior year my dad had died and we were struggling financially so we moved from the area we were living to another with some family. I refused to go to the school that I would have had to go to *it had a really bad rep* so I dropped out. I may not be a genius but I'm fairly intelligent and did well in school, its just that after dropping out I went to work then couldn't stop working to go back to school. Maybe after things are settled a little more I can get my g.e.d and start taking some classes to find a better job. In the mean time at least I have a job, can take care of my family and pay my own way... i don't depend on some one to do it for me nor do I use the system just to avoid working.
My garden is finally starting to sprout *all be it sparsely* after the rain that we have had recently. I guess just plain water from the hose wasn't good enough for it, lol. There are still somethings that I need to replant this weekend, but at least it's a start. Wish me luck with it because I think I may need it.
I was looking at some of the photos that are posted on one of the communities here a little while ago and saw something I think I have to try. Someone had done a zombie birthday cake. I already have ideas floating around in my head of how I can make that work and what I can use to make the zombies.
Ok, since its nearly 1am I think I'm going to bed. The last couple of nights it seems like I no more go to sleep then its time to get up. I blame those dreams that I know I'm having but can't remember. That is so frustrating... anyway, good night, good morning, good-bye. Hope y'all have a great weekend.
